The Club
Originally established in 1911 as the Shaughnessy Heights Golf Club, the Shaughnessy Golf and Country Club was created in 1956 when the Shaughnessy Heights Golf Club was forced to move from its Granville Street location to its current location. Shaughnessy Golf and Country Club is located on the Musqueam Reserve Lands just west of the SW Marine Drive and West 41st Street intersection. Shaughnessy has long been regarded as one of the premier golf clubs in Canada but also enjoys distinction for its fine tennis facilities and programs. |

Facility
Shaughnessy Golf and Country Club has four indoor hard courts (permanent structure) and four outdoor hard courts (not lighted) for year round play. The indoor tennis centre has a viewing lounge, bar, pro-shop and change rooms with showers. In addition to tennis there is a 18 hole Golf course, Fitness Centre, Card Room, Garden Lounge and Banquet rooms with personalized catering service for functions ranging in size from ten to 180 people. Food and Beverage service is provided by the Grill, Player's Bar, The 19th Hole and Dogwood Dining Room. |

Programs
A variety of tennis instructional programs are provided for players of all ages and ability levels by Head Professional, Jerome Fournier and Assistant Professionals, Teresa Dobson Wahl and Jay Mahoney. Organized play at Shaughnessy includes men's and women's in-house and inter-club league teams, club tournaments and mixed socials. Shaughnessy also plays host to a Under 18 Junior Indoor Circuit event. |
